Thus ends the Marketron storyline! Kind of like the end of the world, it ends not with a bang but with some drool.

I’m going to be taking a little hiatus from the strip for the first month or so of 2012. Acting has started taking up more of my time (which is a good thing) and I don’t think I can keep up even a weekly strip. I will still be making new ones, though, just not as frequently. Feel free to subscribe to the RSS feed so you’ll be updated on new strips.

Hey it’s my 200th strip!

Even the Marketron has his weaknesses.

I’m nearing #200 so I figured it was time to do something different and weird.  All Marketrons in this piece are purely fictional and no actual demons were harmed in the making of this strip.

Credit for the term Marketron goes to Comedian Tim McIntire who owns Mottley’s Comedy Club in Boston.  It’s one of the best comedy clubs in New England, so stop by if you’re in the area.

Mick delves deeper into the policies and procedures and finds it doesn’t really get any better.

The Gooz returns as more of his evil plans unfold…or something!

Sorry this update is a day late! I had a crazy day so I wasn’t able to get this done. But here it is in all it’s RGB glory.

I can neither confirm nor deny that this happened to me a few weeks at a place I go to for breakfast all the time.  If you didn’t get the reference, it’s from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure.  I’m very hip and up to date.

On the upside, I’m thrilled with how this week’s comic came out.  Since getting the Tablet PC, it gives me a little more freedom to draw backgrounds and more stuff on the fly.  I added a little paper texture to the background “wall” as well and I like the way it looks.  Also, I drew a brand new character.  I like the way she looks and may keep her around.  Who knows?  Certainly not me!
 

Last week, I was invited to the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles to see a double bill of Buster Keaton’s COPS and Harold Lloyd’s SAFETY LAST!. The movies were accompanied by a real organist and the whole evening was a real treat (I’m a huge comedy buff with the Marx Bros. being my favorites).  Since then, I’ve been on a silent film kick.  This was an idea I had to film as a little black and white short.  Quick and concise. I thought it might also work as a strip, so here you go.
