This strip was inspired, in part, by those old Warner Bros. cartoons where the Sheep Dog and the Wolf would clock in on their shifts.  “Hey Ralph.” “Howyadoin’ Sam?”  It was just a part of their day and I always liked that idea of people just have jobs and roles and then they go home.  Not to mention, I kind of like the idea of Phil the Zombie and he may end up becoming a regular cast member.  So as I approach the 150th strip, I give you something new.  I’m a giver people.

In other news, there may be a BREAKING THE ICE paperback book on the horizon through Hopper Comics.  As a kid who grew up with a bookshelf full of those kind of books (and still does to some extent), it would be a very cool thing.

If I end up getting laid off from my day job, I may start working on the 60 MINUTE BROADWAY graphic novel.  It’s a screenplay I wrote about 6 years ago and I was originally going to do a comic book with Jeff Schuetze of Jefbot fame.  He got busy with his own projects and it just kind of fell away.  I keep thinking of trying to do a black and white graphic novel of it.  We’ll see…it would be a very ambitious project for my limited art skills.
