The Papa character is based on my own grandfather as well as my Uncle Tony (who gets a shout out here today). Uncle Tony used to call me “Buccalato” when I was little. He passed away about 20 years ago and my grandfather passed in ’07, so this is my little way of giving an homage to two guys I loved and still love dearly.
As a side note, I was a guest on the Popcorn Mafia podcast last week over at www.popcornmafia.com. It’s a movie review show and a lot of fun. Definitely not for listening to at work or for the easily offended
